Apple Macbook Pro Launches in India @ Rs 99,900

Within a month of unveiling its next generation 13-inch and 15-inch Macbook Pro models,  Apple launched its all new range of Macbook Pro laptops in India, and thus revamping its product line of Macbook Pro laptops in Indian markets. The 13-inch Macbook Pro model will fetch a starting price of  Rs 99,900, while the 15-inch model of the same will be priced at Rs 1,49,000.

Apple also unveiled its all new models of iPad and iPad Mini tablet along with the Macbook Pro at an event. Both 13 inch and 15 inch models of Macbook Pro comes preloaded with OS X Mavericks, i.e the latest operating system by Apple, and also is provided with iLife software suite.

The 13-inch Macbook Pro will be powered with fourth-generation Intel Haswell chip and Iris GPU. Apple boasts about the graphics of its new Macbook Pro and claims that it is 90% faster than its previous models and gives a battery support upto 9 hours as compared to previous models which gave 7 hours battery life. Also the size of the new Macbook is thinner as compared to its predecessors.

In an aggressive remark Apple CEO Tim Cook said

The competition is confused and they tried to make tablets into PCs and PCs into tablets and chased after netbooks. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to desktops and described how the new Mavericks OS update will improve performance and battery life.
