Ashton Kutcher to Play Steve Jobs in Film Titled Jobs
If you compare pictures of Ashton Kutcher and young Steve Jobs you would find striking resemblance between the two. Therefore, Ashton Kutcher has been signed to play the role of dynamic Steve Jobs in the upcoming Indie movie “Jobs”. The film will be directed by Joshua Michael Stern and written by Matt Whiteley. The news of Ashton Kutcher playing Steve Jobs was first reported by variety.com.
The film will chronicle Steve Jobs from wayward hippie to co-founder of Apple, where he became one of the most revered creative entrepreneurs of our time. Five Star Institute’s Mark Hulme is financing and will produce the pic, which is skedded to start production in May while Kutcher is on hiatus from his hit CBS series. In addition to both CAA and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern, Kutcher and Stern are respectively repped by Untitled Entertainment and 3 Arts Entertainment.

Although the story was released on 1st April, Variety’s Jeff Sneider said repeatedly on Twitter that the story is not an April Fools joke. Ashton Kutcher is currently gaining popularity as the new Charlie Sheen in “Two and a Half Men”. Creative Artist Agency (CAA) will have the domestic distribution rights, as they represent both Kutcher and Stern.
Steve Jobs passed away in October 2011 at the age of 56 , after succumbing to pancreatic cancer. Jobs has left behind a huge tech legacy, and provided inspiration to millions through his work and charisma. Sony Pictures are also planning to make another biographical film based on Walter Isaacson’s authored Steve Jobs biography.
