Google Chromebook Pixel: A Touchscreen Laptop that beats Macbook Retina
Its cool, sleek and extremely powerful. Google unveiled its new line of laptops on Thursday (21st February 2013) i.e. the chromebook Pixel. Well as the name suggest the Pixel flaunts a high resolution touchscreen (4.3 million pixels) and a powerful processor.

The chromebook Pixel is conceptualized, designed and developed wholly by Google unlike previous chromebook laptops that were made my Samsung and Acer, and is giving a close competition to Apple.

Chromebook Pixel touchscreen Google Maps
The Pixel runs on Google’s Chrome OS and all its documents and applications are based and stored in Cloud. It is also powered by dual-core 1.8GHz Intel i5 processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM and integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics. Users will get 1TB of Cloud storage alongwith Google Drive services free for 3 years, and as mentioned by Mr. Sundar Pichai ( Senior Vice President, Chrome and Apps, Google)
This is about power users. Some of them buy Mac, some buy Windows 8. We wanted to make sure Chrome OS is in that segment. This is the future – high resolution and touchscreen, and we’re behind in the laptop world. We want to push the ecosystem and web development forward, so this can be thought of as a reference device, in the same way as the Nexus, that will inspire a whole new generation of devices.
The Wi-Fi model of Chromebook Pixel will come with storage capacity of 32GB and will retail at $1,299 in the United States and £1,049 in the United Kingdom. Whereas the LTE model of the Pixel will have storage capacity of 64GB and is expected to retail at $1,449. However the LTE model will only be available form April 2013.
