Google Drive Launched: Store Data in Clouds
One of the most awaited and rumored services of Google – Google Drive (cloud-based storage service) was launched on Tuesday, 24th April 2012. The new storage service by Google offers up to 1TB of storage space of which 5 GB will be for free for storing content online on Google servers. The announcement on launch of Google Drive came form the official Google blog.
Google Drive will be clubbed with Google Docs and allow the users to store and collaborate on document, presentations, spreadsheet with their colleagues and clients online, as it will enable users to access files from anywhere and anytime.

Feature Offered on Google Drive
Smart Tagging
You can tag files, images uploaded on Google Drive, so when you later on search a fileor a picture, all your tagged items will display in search results.
Image Recognition
Just drag and drop your pictures on Google Drive and all your results matching the image will highlight in front of you.
Optical Character Recognition
Google drive also has the feature of character recognition. Drive also recognizes text of scanned documents and even perform word search on it. So you can scan all your important documents.
Open Multiple File types without Software
Google Drive will also enable to open various files regardless of software installed in your system for eg. PDFs, HD video, images from Illustrator and Photoshop etc.

Now as Google Drive comes with various features, the question arises is, how to use Google Drive ? Android users you can download a simple app and access Google Drive on the go from your phone or tablet. PC and Mac users can install Google Drive. And very soon we will see an app for iPhone and iPad.
