No ICS Update for Samsung Galaxy Note till June 2012
Sad news for the owners of super rocking Samsung Galaxy Note. The latest Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update will not be available for the new Galaxy Note till June 2012 🙁 The Korean Smartphone Giant the rescheduled the update for Galaxy Note and said that the updates will be available in Q2.
Samsung last year had notified that ICS update will be available in the 1st Quarter and gave a detailed list of features that will be updated along with it, but now the updates had been postponed to 2nd Quarter. Samsung Norway had confirmed this delay through its Facebook account.
The exact reason for delay and the exact date for the update is still not known from the official sources. However it could be assumed that this delay is due to the users facing problem after updating their Galaxy S II to ICS. Many users had complained about reduced performance like slow internet connectivity, scrolling issues, re-sizing issues after they had opted for Android 4.0 update on their Galaxy S 2. So it may be inferred that Samsung does not want the same issue with their Galaxy Note, and now are spending time resolving the issues for the same, and give away proper functioning updated Galaxy Note.
We can say that the delay is for good and Samsung is preparing a high end Smartphone for its Users. In the meanwhile check out Apps for Galaxy Note Using S Pen for Sketching 🙂
