This news from ISC ( Internet Storm Center) is truly shocking according to The SANS Institute’s Internet Storm Center (ISC) currently estimates the “survival” time of an Internet-connected computer running Windows at around four minutes if it’s not equipped with the latest Microsoft Corp. security patches, said Lorna Hutcheson, a researcher and analyst, in a post to the ISC blog.

Hackers are always on a lookout for security vulnerabilities and if they find one, then Microsoft tries to remove it by providing a patch for that vulnerability, but if you do not download and patch your pc, you leave it open to the hackers who can easily scan for open ports on your system, and then easily get hold of your PC .

So the best thing would be to let the Microsoft   Update feature in Xp/vista always on , so you get the latest of patches and save yourself from attacks !!
